The U.S. ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, has announced that bilateral trade between the two countries has increased to approximately $13 billion since last year.
Mr Mills pledged to deepen the U.S. Mission’s broader commitment to public engagement in Nigeria.
He described Islam as a religion of peace which focuses on spirituality and helping the less privileged in society.
The ambassador highlighted the significance of MWFAAN’s decade-long journey.
While emphasising his commitment to press freedom, Mr Mills added, “That is why I am here with my team, and it was a good discussion with the minister.”
U.S. ambassador to Nigeria has pledged support to strengthen the capacity of Nigerian women to advocate laws and policies to close gender gaps.
In the coming year, the world will be focused on Africa’s largest democracy as Nigerians go to the polls.

The participants go through a three-month training designed to cultivate entrepreneurial know-how, and help women entrepreneurs connect with funding opportunities.
