Parents and students have heaved a sigh of relief that the ASUU strike has been suspended.
The National Industrial Court of Nigeria ordered ASUU not to take part in further strike, pending the determination of the substantive suit.
ASUU has been on strike since February 14, over the federal government’s failure to honour a 2009 MoU with the union.
He said the decision to embark on the one-day national protest was imperative as children of the poor had continued to remain at home.
The ASUU president said the union won’t back down on its ongoing strike due to Federal Government’s failure to honour the 2009 agreement.
