Terrorist attack foiled in Kaduna, Zamfara, three kidnap victims rescued

Troops of Fansan Yamma said they foiled an attack by terrorists and rescued three kidnap victims in a separate incident in Kaduna and Zamfara State operation.
This was contained in a statement on Friday by the operation’s spokesman, Aliyu Danja.
He stated that on Thursday terrorists at Unguwan Gardago Village, Kaduna North Local Government Area, robbed locals of motorcycles, phones and abducted a civilian, whom they forced to guide their escape from the village.
“Troops swiftly responded, mounted an ambush along the terrorists’ withdrawal route and engaged them, forcing the terrorists to flee and abandon the motorcycles and other items looted from residents,” Mr Danja said.
According to him, while conducting an operation after successfully countering the attack, troops recovered three motorcycles, one PKT machine gun working mechanism and components of a pump-action firearm among other items.
“Unfortunately, the abducted civilian was killed by the terrorists, and his body was subsequently recovered and handed over to his relatives,” he noted.
Mr Danja said on Friday, troops observed terrorists attacking a Canter vehicle along the Anka–Gummi Road.
“Troops responded swiftly to the incident and made contact with the terrorists, forcing them to abandon their victims and flee the area.
“Troops subsequently rescued three kidnap victims and recovered terrorist communication equipment,” he said.
