The Men’s Club: Ayoola rebuts scriptwriter’s claims, promises to be back

A major actor of the popular series ‘The Men’s Club’, Ayoola Ayoola, has debunked news of his sudden disappearance off-screen.
Following the replacement announcement of his northern wealthy lover boy character “Aminu” in the series by BBNaija housemate Pere Egbi, Ayoola took to his Instagram page to clarify, saying his relocation was “temporary” and promises to return to the screen.
“Hi everyone. Thank you for all the love and support. I appreciate you! I remain grateful to have been part of such an amazing show, and I did not take any action to jeopardise its success.
“Contrary to what was said, I did not relocate without letting the executive producers and producers of the show know. My decision to make a ‘temporary’ move out of the country was a long thought out process in which the producer/my manager at the time was aware of and involved.
“With that being said, I cannot wait to be back on your screens again,” Ayoola promised.
On November 8, BBNaija housemate took to his Instagram page a picture of him alongside Aminu’s love interest in the series ‘Tumini’ as he captioned the announcement saying, “It’s on! Meet Aminu. The Men’s Club! Mimi Chaka. Leggo.”
Fans of Ayoola took to social media to ramble against the switch in the cast.
Meanwhile, the scriptwriter of the series, Dami Elebe,revealed that producers were not informed of Ayoola’s relocation, leading to the sudden replacement.
“It’s not our fault that the actor relocated – without telling us if I may add – and I don’t want the people – including me – who are working hard to give an amazing show be made to feel bad by the fans we love and are doing our best for,” he said.
Ayoola had successfully played the northern wealthy lover boy character ‘Aminu’ for three consecutive seasons.
Viewers will be looking forward to how Pere Egbi will portray Aminu.
