There’ll be thunderstorms, cloudiness, sunshine for three days: NiMet

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted three days of cloudiness and sunshine (Thursday to Saturday).
The northern region will experience cloudy and sunny weather in the morning. According to the forecast, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms in Taraba and southern Borno later in the day.
“Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine should prevail over the North-Central states during the morning hours. However, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over parts of Kwara and the Federal Capital Territory during the afternoon and evening hours,” NiMet noted. “Cloudy skies should prevail over the Inland and the coastal cities of the South with prospects of thunderstorms over Ogun, Ondo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Lagos in the morning hours.”
NiMet forecasted isolated thunderstorms in Edo, Delta, Imo, Abia, Enugu, Ado Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross River State later in the day.
According to the agency, partly cloudy to sunny skies are anticipated over the Northern region on Friday, with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over parts of Taraba state during the morning hours.
It further anticipated isolated thunderstorms over parts of Adamawa State later in the day.
NiMet predicted cloudy skies over the North-Central states during the morning hours with isolated thunderstorms over Nasarawa, Niger, Benue and the Federal Capital Territory in the afternoon and evening period.
NiMet also disclosed that the inland and the coastal cities of the South would be under cloudy skies during the morning hours.
It forecasted isolated thunderstorms in Delta, Edo, Ekiti, Imo, Ogun, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Lagos states.
“For Saturday, partly cloudy to sunny skies are anticipated over the Northern region during the forecast period. Partly cloudy skies should prevail over the North-Central region during the forecast hours,” said the agency. “The Inland and the Coastal cities of the South should be predominantly cloudy with chances of isolated thunderstorm over parts of Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Bayelsa states during the morning hours.”
It added, “Later in the day, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Parts of Edo, Delta, Ondo, Rivers, and Lagos during the afternoon and evening hours.”
