Three Ibadan men arraigned for stealing railway bolts

Three friends, Sunday Tajudeen, 21, Ismail Sarafa, 22, and Abdulamid Taiwo, 20, were on Monday arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for stealing railway bolts and nuts.
The trio were charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Samuel Owolabi, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on February 11, at about 2:00 p.m., in the Olodo area of Ibadan.
Mr Owolabi alleged that the defendants stole two washer bolts and one nut, valued at N10,000, belonging to the Nigerian Railway Corporation.
The magistrate, Gladys Olanrewaju, granted the defendants bail of N20,000 each and one surety each in like sum.
She held that the sureties must be the biological parents of each defendant and adjourned the case until March 9 for a hearing.
