Tinubu supporters in Lagos are gluttons; refused to vote unless mobilised: Dayo Israel
Dayo Israel, the All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leader, has berated Bola Tinubu supporters in Lagos, describing them as gluttons, while lamenting his party’s bad run in the presidential election.
Mr Isreal made this statement in a tweet on Monday, reacting to a Twitter user @Yusrah Yusuf, who expressed disappointment in APC’s performance in Lagos.
“Our people sometimes can be Alatenuje. Most people refuse to come out because of mobilisation. Some expect others have come out so they don’t need to.
“Progressives in Lagos, wake up, we have the numbers, get out the vote and stop waiting for mobilisation. E jade E fibo soro,” Mr Israel said.
This comes as Peter Obi of the Labour Party maintained slim lead ahead of the APC presidential candidate, Mr Tinubu, in a hotly contested election.
A former two-term governor of Lagos State, during campaign, Mr Tinubu had bragged that he would win Lagos with a wild margin, calling Mr Obi his tenant.
However, Mr Obi, a perceived underdog, is racing to demystify the former Lagos State governor who pride himself as Jagaban of Nigeria.
