Tinubu to address Nigerians on Independence Day

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to address Nigerians in nationwide broadcast on Tuesday, October 1, Independence Day.
This was disclosed in a statement from the State House signed by Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Bayo Onanuga, on Monday.
According to the statement, the President’s speech will be broadcast across Nigeria on Tuesday at 7 a.m. via multiple media platforms, including television stations, radio stations, and other electronic outlets to ensure nationwide coverage and accessibility.
The statement read, “October 1, 2024 Independence Day: President Tinubu addresses the nation. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a nationwide broadcast on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 7 a.m. The broadcast is part of activities to commemorate the 64th Independence anniversary of the nation.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast.”
The Independence Day will mark Nigeria’s 64th year of freedom from British colonial rule.
