“ECOWAS Commission has received with consternation reports of an attempted military takeover in the Republic of Benin,” ECOWAS stated.
“I appealed to all Nigerians to rally behind the present democratic administration at every level,” the lawmaker added.
Earlier, some soldiers announced a sudden takeover of the government, accusing Mr Talon of mismanagement.
The takeover took place after the military had criticised Mr Talon’s government over mismanagement of the country.
No arrest has been made and the motive of the shooting is still unknown.
He said that accelerating local drug production was crucial to building a resilient health ecosystem.
The ceasefire was called for by Security Council in resolution 2773 (2025).
The diplomat, Robinson Juma Twanga, served for years as a labour attaché in the Middle Eastern kingdom.
He said that Sierra Leone was a major beneficiary of the transformative impact of such past efforts by both the ECOWAS Commission and Parliament.
However, regional analysts say it is unclear whether the agreement will actually end the decades-long conflict.
