The CBSA identified the documents as five forged passports from the Republic of the Gambia and two from South Africa.
The detective constable Lockyer said, “The bravery of the victims in coming forward is what brought Sobogun to justice.”
The defendant told the court, “I didn’t kill anybody. I didn’t stab anybody. Police got the wrong person.”

The judge said, “You were preparing food for supply to outlets, supermarkets and corner stores, and the food was frankly unfit for human consumption.”
The couple were scheduled to undertake their oath of allegiance in January 2026 but the final step was called off just weeks before the ceremony.
According to court documents, between December 2020 and August 2023, Ugwu owned, operated, and served as chief executive officer of Franklin Finance Inc.
“This guy already had a bat in his hand, like he knew what he was going to do,” Mr Omoteso narrated.
Police urged witnesses to come forward and assist the police in the investigation.
The group also called for comprehensive security reform, including the establishment of a state police force.
