Faruku Wurno, commissioner for health, made the appeal on Thursday in Sokoto during a cascading training for Long-Acting Reversible Contraception providers.
The warning came after three Potts Points residents aged from their 40s to their 70s had developed a severe lung infection.
Mr Akhamie said, “Patients often come in with fatigue, fluctuating temperatures, and digestive issues,” he said.
Governor Umaru Bago of Niger, at the inauguration in Minna on Monday, said the campaign was in line with the new Niger Agenda.
“There is urgent need to dispel these myths and equip individuals with accurate facts to make informed decisions about their reproductive health,” she said.
Mr Igwe urged the government to mainstream AMR testing and stewardship into national health budgets.
