President Bola Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the governing council and board of trustees of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project.
This was disclosed in a joint communiqué signed by Nigeria’s deputy foreign minister, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and her Israeli counterpart, Sharren Haskel-Harpaz.
The CSO’s concerns were voiced by the Health of Mother Earth Foundation, Environmental Rights Action, and the GMO-Free Nigeria Alliance in a statement.
They said the charges were discouraging and unnecessary.
