Governor Babagana Zulum has set up a 24-member high-powered investigation committee on the Maiduguri Monday Market fire.
He said that Mr Dankwambo polled 143,155 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mr Alkali of the APC, who scored votes 77,948.
The Senate President scored 91,318 votes, defeating his PDP challenger Sheriff Abdullahi, who polled 22,849 in Saturday’s general elections.
