“People lament, then go back and watch. People must challenge and talk to our faces that we’re not doing the right thing,” said Mr Ningi.

The ex-minister ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2019 as an APC candidate and again in 2023 as an Accord Party standard-bearer.
“I just returned from Abuja, and the conversation remains the same—Dr Obafemi Hamzat is the next governor of Lagos state,” said Mr Obasa.
The ex-minister resigned on Wednesday to pursue his ambition as the next governor of Oyo State.
Governor Mai Mala Buni said the state had benefitted from the central government led by the president.
He said renewed backing would sustain ongoing reforms.
