Transparency International to publish 2024 Corruption Perception Index February 11

Transparency International is set to publish its 2024 Corruption Perception Index on February 11, 2025 at 6:01 CET, as sighted on its official website on Thursday.
The Corruption Perception Index, CPI, is a lead indicator of corrupt practices in the public sector, which provides an annual comparative snapshot of 180 nations of the world, with this year’s index set to be calculated with data from 13 different sources.
TI noted that the CPI 2024 edition would assess how countries have responded to cases of corruption over time, reviewing failures and progress in the past year and also focusing particularly on how corruption was undermining climate action around the world.
The CPI would reveal the many countries most in need of climate finance and who are also faced with governance and corruption challenges.
In addition, this year’s edition would also expose the undue influence from the fossil fuel industry and how it was limiting the ambition of wealthy nations to tackle climate change.
Access to the corruption perception index will be released on www.transparency.org/cpi/, and embargoed materials would also be available on February 4, 2025.
The global civil society urges individuals who would like to request interviews or press materials under embargo, to reach out to its representative, Felix Arbenz- Caines via his email, felix.arbenz-caines@digacommunications.com or the press office at Transparency International Secretariat press@transparency.org.
It noted that for national enquiries, the public should contact the appropriate Transparency International chapter.
