Gbenga Matthew of Holy Trinity Church, Ilorin, has advised Nigerians to stop murmuring and pray for the country’s situation to be better.

Mr Matthew, who gave the advice in Ilorin on Saturday in an interview, said murmuring would not change the country’s situation, but rather prayers.

According to him, most people are fond of complaining but not ready to take action through prayers for divine intervention.

“Let us join voices and seek divine intervention on the country’s situation. We all have roles to play. Prayer can unlock every situation. No situation is beyond prayer and actions. Let us pray for a change of fortunes.

“Nigeria’s problem is not bigger than prayers. Pray for the leaders, pray for the followers, and stop murmuring,” said the cleric.

The cleric also urged the country’s leadership to always prioritise the welfare of the masses, as well as to fear God.

“With the right attitude, the country will regain its lost glory,” Mr Matthew added.
