Two die in Ebonyi auto crash

No fewer than two persons have died in a ghastly road crash along Abakaliki Obubara road in Abakaliki local government area.
Anthony Okore, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)’s sector commander of the Ebonyi Command, disclosed this on Monday.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday. According to Mr Okore, the crash took place on Sunday at about 7.15 hrs.
“The FRSC personnel were there at about 7.25hrs. It happened on the Abakaliki-Obubara road, precisely at Obubara by Amichi junction,” the FRSC commander added. “The crash involved a Toyota Camry with number GGE 699 HH and a motor bike with number M350 EPE.”
The Camry could not control its speed, thereby knocking down the Okada rider and its passenger, who died on the spot, the FRSC commander revealed.
“Both the vehicle and the Okada have been taken to the Central Police Station in Abakaliki,” added Mr Okore.
