The police command in Kano has arrested two suspects for stabbing Ibrahim Danshagamu to death in Quarters, Kumbotso council area.

A statement on Wednesday by Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the command’s spokesman, said the command received the distress call on Tuesday at about 11:30 p.m.

He said that the hoodlums forcibly entered the residence of Mr Danshagamu and attacked him with sharp objects.  

“Operatives of Kumbotso Police Division responded promptly to the scene. The victim was immediately conveyed to Murtala Mohammad Specialists Hospital Kano for emergency medical attention, where he was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor.

“The suspects are currently in custody undergoing interrogation. The command has intensified efforts to apprehend any other persons who may be connected to the crime,” Mr Kiyawa said.

He added that investigators obtained statements, and forensic procedures are ongoing to establish the full facts and motive behind the attack.
