Uba Sani vows to make Kaduna safe haven

Governor Uba Sani has promised that his administration is determined to make Kaduna State a model of progress, development, and inclusivity in the entire country.
The governor noted that “despite occasional attacks by bandits, Kaduna State remains one of the safest states in Nigeria. Our Peace Model is hailed as a pathway to peace and security.’’
Speaking at the commissioning of Magajiya to Kasuwan Amaru Zaria township road on Saturday, he vowed that his government “shall not rest until all communities in Kaduna State experience peace and tranquillity.”
Governor Uba Sani also said that he remains “steadfast in building a state that works for everyone, ensuring that every Naira spent brings tangible development to your doorstep.”
While calling on the community to take ownership of the road, he pointed out that protecting it “is the only way to ensure its longevity.”
Similarly, the governor also commissioned the Audi to Kako road in Zaria city, recalling his pledge when he was sworn in on May 29, 2023, to spread development across Kaduna State.
He reiterated that good roads are the backbone of economic activity because they improve mobility, link communities and businesses, and connect farmers, pupils, and patients to markets, schools, and health facilities.
‘’In keeping with that pledge, our administration has launched, and it is delivering a wide range of infrastructural projects throughout the state—in both urban and rural communities.’’
“Our aim is to create the enabling environment and physical infrastructure that will improve livelihoods, boost productivity, and reduce poverty, especially for the poor and most vulnerable among us,’’ he said.
The governor recalled that he was in Zaria on 6th March 2025 to perform the groundbreaking for this road, adding that ‘’it gives me great pleasure that, in less than a year, we are back to commission it.’’
‘’This road is more than a stretch of asphalt; it is a pathway to opportunity—a link to markets, schools, and healthcare, and a contributor to a better quality of life for the people of Zaria and beyond,’’ he added.
According to him, “Today’s commissioning is a clear sign of the progress we are making together and of our shared hope for a better tomorrow. ‘’
