The police in Lagos have arrested a 21-year-old student of the University of Lagos for the murder of Usifo Ataga who was found dead in a room in Lekki.

Mr Ataga, the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, was last Thursday found dead in a pool of his blood after he was stabbed to death. He had multiple wounds in several parts of his body.

The police have now identified a 300-Level undergraduate of University of Lagos, simply identified as Chidinma as the person who stabbed him to death.

On Thursday, the Lagos state police commissioner Hakeem Odumosu told journalists that the suspect confessed to the crime.

Mr Odumosu said that the suspect withdrew N5 million from Mr Ataga’s bank account, adding that the bank account has been blocked to prevent further withdrawals from his account.

Alongside Chidinma, the owner of the rented apartment where the murder took place was arrested.
