Vietnamese President To Lam arrived in India on Tuesday on a three-day state visit on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This is his first state visit to India after his election as the Vietnamese president in April.

Before arriving in New Delhi, To Lam visited the famous Buddhist pilgrimage site Bodh Gaya in the eastern state of Bihar.

The visiting president was accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising several ministers and senior government officials, as well as a strong business delegation.
