We’ll empower Ondo youths to drive economy to next level: Acting Governor

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the acting governor of Ondo state, has assured that the present administration is determined to empower the youths to grow young entrepreneurs.
Mr Aiyedatiwa pledged, on Saturday, in his message to commemorate this year’s International Youth Day (IYD).
The acting governor said youths are machinery that could assist the state government in driving its economy to the next level.
According to him, the administration of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is also committed to ensuring human capacity development.
“Our valued and highly resourceful youth of Ondo State, I wish to reiterate that our administration is irrevocably committed to ensuring the human capital development of Ondo State. In addition, we are determined to provide accessible, inclusive and integrated youth empowerment schemes as machinery for incubating young entrepreneurs who will drive our economy to the next level.
“It is against this backdrop that, I, on behalf of our Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON and the government of Ondo State, congratulate and celebrate the youth of our dear state on this day,” he said in a message to celebrate with the youths.
He added that the government would support the youths for a sustainable and resource-friendly society, saying that International Youth Day is also a reminder of the importance of sustainable development and a green environment.
Globally, International Youth Day is set aside after the declaration by the United Nations (UN) to always celebrate and appreciate the values of the youth.
This year’s celebration is with the theme, “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World”.
