The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, on Friday, said captured Ukrainian military officers will be released at the end of hostilities if they refrain from participating in the battle.

“As for the provision of food and other necessary things, everything is provided,” Mr Pushilin said.

“After they sign an agreement not to take part in hostilities, that is, for them, the war ends, and then, they will be able to return to their families immediately after the end of hostilities.”

“These are our obligations,’’ Mr Pushilin told the Rossiya 24 broadcaster.
