Wike not intellectually sound, just “packing money”: Umahi

Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has attacked his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, for saying he is behind his sacking by the court.
Mr Umahi spoke in Abuja on Wednesday after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari. He described Mr Wike as an illiterate who lacked intellectual prowess.
“He (Wike) was boasting on Channels that he is behind my ordeal, a mere man that depends on the breath of God. I pity illiteracy, it’s a shame,” Mr Umahi said.
“You are boasting to remove another governor. What qualifies you? Just because you are packing money that is public funds, not intellectual material but just packing money from public funds and you are boasting about it.”
Mr Umahi’s tongue-lashing is in reference to Mr Wike’s admittance of his role in the sacking of the Ebonyi governor by the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court last week.
“I am involved, PDP is behind it, we are all PDP members…me I am involved. You can’t take what is our property and say we should close our mouth, we can’t close our mouth,” Mr Wike had said in the aftermath of the court ruling.
