A 29-year-old woman, Tosin Afowowe, was on Tuesday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan, Oyo State, over an alleged verbal abuse.

Afowowe, whose address was not provided was charged with verbal, emotional abuse and malicious damage, to which she pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, ASP Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that the defendant committed the offences between 2025 and January, 2026, at Elebu, Ibadan.

Mr Adegbenro alleged that the defendant unlawfully caused verbal, emotional and psychological abuse against the complainant, Oluwabukola Adewale.

He alleged that the defendant sent offensive text and voice messages to Adewale’s WhatsApp, calling her degrading names.
