Governors Seyi Makinde, Hope Uzodimma, Ahmadu Fintiri, Charles Soludo, Bala Mohammed and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq have felicitated Christians on Christmas, urging them to continue living in love and harmony with one another and their neighbours.

Mr Makinde called on residents of the state to pay attention to their environment as they go about their celebrations, adding that securing the state remains a responsibility for both the government and the governed.

He charged them to report suspicious movements to security agencies through the Citizen Emergency Number, 615, noting that the principle, “if you see something, say something” remains in force.

Mr Uzodimma urged Nigerians to radiate compassion and love as they celebrate Christmas. According to the governor, Christmas transcends the annual rituals of festivities, social gatherings and joyous reunions of kith and kin.

He urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Mr Mohammed felicitated Christians in Bauchi, urging residents to embrace peace, love, tolerance, and unity. He stated that those values should be upheld by all residents, regardless of religious, ethnic, or political differences, to promote peaceful coexistence across the state.

Mr Soludo urged Nigerians to remember the nation in prayers during the Christmas season, calling for peace, prosperity and progress across the country. He also appealed to Nigerians to pray for divine wisdom for leaders at all levels of government, so they can steer the affairs of the country towards greater heights.

The governor asked Christians to practise the true essence of Christmas by extending love and generosity to others, especially the less privileged in their communities.

Mr Soludo reassured residents and visitors to Anambra of a safe and secure environment throughout the festive period and beyond.

Mr Fintiri said that the world would be a better place if the values and virtues reflected by the birth of Christ were imbibed and practised faithfully.

Mr AbdulRazaq extended warm felicitations to the Christian community in Kwara. Mr AbdulRazaq said that the celebration reflected the essence of Jesus Christ. He particularly thanked the Christian community for their consistent support, understanding, solidarity, and commitment to peaceful coexistence in Kwara.
