Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has urged all aggrieved political parties and their candidates to support President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) for a better Nigeria.

Mr Bello, who said this on Thursday while addressing journalists at the State House in Abuja, also advised political parties to settle down and face governance.

He also called on all candidates to come together and support Mr Tinubu and ensure that Nigeria is fixed.

“The truth has been exposed. Imagine the justices sitting down for almost fourteen hours to deliver that landmark judgement yesterday. Nigerians within the country and in the diaspora are happy and I think it’s time to settle down and face governance. And I advise all those that feel aggrieved, we have only one country, Nigeria. They should all come together and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and ensure that we fix this country.”

He said this in reaction to the recent judgement by the Presidential Election Tribunal court on Wednesday that declared Mr Tinubu as the duly elected candidate in the February 2023 presidential elections

A five-man panel of judges headed by Justice Haruna Tsammani ruled that Mr Tinubu was legitimately elected President of Nigeria.

He also said as far as he is concerned, the aggrieved do not have any grounds for appeal. Instead, he said, he would rather urge the candidates to drop any appeal going to the higher court and save the resources, save the trouble.

He said, “Definitely we have Mr fix who is trying his best travelling around the world to ensure that Nigeria is fixed. So we are happy the matter is settled.

“As far as I’m concerned, I don’t think there is any ground for appeal. I would rather appeal to them that they should drop any appeal going to the higher court and then save the resources, save the trouble, advise their supporters, admonish them that they should accept yesterday’s judgement. No flaw. I thank God for all that happened yesterday.”
