“You brought only insecurity to Kwarans,” Davido knocks Gov Abdulrazaq over comments on insecurity

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has berated Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over comments on security challenges ravaging the state.
Mr Abdulrazaq, at the mega rally of the All Progressives Congress ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in Osun, boasted that his political access to President Bola Tinubu had helped his administration combat killings and kidnappings in the state.
The governor urged Osun voters to elect APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji to enjoy the dividends of being close to the president.
“There is a need to have a governor who is a heartbeat away from the president. A governor that can go to Aso Rock and bring goodies back to the state. It is indeed very important.
“I’ll give example of Kwara State. We are having security challenges. I went to Mr President and requested additional military support. He extended southern operations axis to the state, gave us a thousand forest guards and Operation Savannah Shield in Kwara State,” the governor stated.
Reacting to Mr Abdulrazaq’s statement on Friday, Davido described the governor as “watery” and accused him of bringing only insecurity to Kwara’s citizens.
“Your accessibility to the villa brought nothing but insecurity to Kwarans. These so called leaders are watery,” the singer wrote.
Davido’s comments came amid security challenges in several Kwara communities, particularly in Ifelodun, Kaiama, Edu and Patigi.
Amid the challenges, Mr Abdulrazaq welcomed the soldiers deployed to Omu Aran in the Irepodun local council of the state by the federal government.
The establishment of the army battalion was aimed at to strengthening security and curbing killings, kidnappings and other violent crimes in the state.
