Zamfara emir grateful to God for successful hajj

Emir of Maradun and Zamfara Amirul hajj for 2025, Garba Tambari, said Allah has shown mercy to pilgrims with no casualty recorded.
Mr Tambari stated this in Makkah on Friday while speaking to journalists.
He thanked Allah for the smooth and successful hajj operation by the state pilgrims’ board.
He stated, “Alhamdulillah, Allah has been merciful to all our pilgrims. No one is missing, seriously ill, or has died during this year’s hajj operation.’’
The Amirul hajj expressed satisfaction with the pilgrims’ conduct. He urged them to sustain the discipline as return flights would begin on June 22.
He also praised the synergy among stakeholders which, he noted, contributed significantly to the success of the hajj operation.
He stated, “I received full support and cooperation from the hajj delegation. They worked in harmony and justified the confidence placed in them.’’
The Emir also commended Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State for prioritising the welfare of the pilgrims both at home and in the holy land.
He noted that the governor personally visited the pilgrims and donated 100 dollars to each of them during the exercise.
Also speaking, Chairman of Zamfara Hadaya Committee,Sa’idu Maikwano, said Hadaya, or ram sacrifice, is a vital part of hajj.
Mr Maikwano, also Chief Imam of Sahaba Jumu’at Mosque, Gusau, called for standardisation of Hadaya by ensuring that Nigerian pilgrims pay through the official bank.
He said the Islamic Development Bank via Ja’iz Bank remains the only channel approved by Saudi authorities for Hadaya payments.
According to him, this allows pilgrims to know the official ram prices and perform their rites appropriately.
