500 historical relics repaired in Afghanistan in 12 months

Five hundred historical relics have been repaired in the Persian calendar year 1402 (March 21, 2023 to March 19, 2024), local media reported on Monday.
“Restoration and preservation is an everyday task for our colleagues. I mentioned that we should focus on the year 1402, during which our colleagues managed to cover the restoration of 500 historical and archaeological artifacts despite difficulties,’’ a local media outlet, TOLOnews quoted Mohammad Yahya Mohebzada, the deputy curator of the National Museum, as saying.
According to Mr Mohebzada, the repaired relics include sculptures, coins, and utensils from different periods.
According to the Ministry of Information and Culture, more than 60,000 ancient artefacts belonging to different eras have been registered and displayed at the museum in Kabul, the national capital.
