NSCDC arrests man for allegedly hacking brother to death in Kwara

Kwara Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a man for allegedly hacking his brother to death over minor misunderstanding.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Babawale Afolabi, and made available to journalists in Ilorin on Saturday.
Mr Afolabi said that the incident occurred at Dogonruwa area of Woro, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara, in the early hours of May 26.
“In the early hours of Friday, May 26, our divisional office in Kaiama received a distress call that two brothers were engaged in a deadly fight, using dangerous objects like rod and cutlass.
“One of them became unconscious due to loss of too much blood before NSCDC arrived at the scene of the incident. The victim died before he could reach the hospital,” he said.
Mr Afolabi further stated that the suspect was later picked up and handed over to the police, who subsequently arrived at the scene of the incident for further investigations and possible prosecution.
He said that the remains of the deceased had been evacuated from the scene of the incident.
