Brain boxes of FG staff buses stolen in Suleja, vehicles vandalised
Thieves have vandalised seven buses belonging to federal government ministries, departments and agencies at the Suleja LG secretariat, stealing their brain boxes.
The robbery, which took place on Sunday, was reported at the Suleja Divisional Police Headquarters.
The staff buses affected are those of the News Agency of Nigeria, the agriculture and budget planning ministries, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, the Sharia Court of Appeal (FCT), the Office of the Head of Service, and the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.
Most federal government staff buses conveying staff from Suleja to Abuja park their vehicles at the secretariat for safety.
The security personnel on duty at the time of the robbery comprised two elderly men and two vigilantes who operate on weekly shifts.
They claimed they were unaware of the theft and that the robbery might have occurred during the heavy rainfall and strong winds on Saturday.
