Abuja pastor says Jonathan will become president if he defects to APC

Abuja-based pastor, Felix Aluko, says former President Goodluck Jonathan will be returned to Aso Rock if he decides to vie for the 2023 presidential election.
However, Mr Aluko, who made the claim on Tuesday in Abuja, said Mr Jonathan would only emerge president if he defects to the ruling All Progressives Congress from the Peoples Democratic Party.
“For this to happen, the ex-president must defect from his present political platform, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and contest the election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).”
The clergyman, however, warned that the ex-president might never be Nigerian president again if he declined the divine call to contest the next poll.
“The Lord has said that his (Jonathan’s) chapter in the PDP has been closed and a new chapter of his political journey has been opened, not in the PDP, but APC.
“That he has to align himself with the purpose and will of God for his life to be able to fulfil his presidential mandate.
“God allowed him to move out of the presidential seat for a purpose to be able to train him on the aspect of the things He wanted him to do.
“Now that God is bringing him back, he will be able to fulfil that purpose,” the pastor said.
Mr Aluko added, “God said to me that this is the set time for his return to Aso Rock, and he should not let the opportunity slip away from his own hands.”
Earlier, Mr Jonathan said he could not tell if he would be contesting the 2023 presidential election.
He said this while replying to supporters who protested at his Abuja office on Friday, demanding that he should declare for the 2023 presidential election.
