AIG in charge of Zone 13, Godwin Aghaulor, retires after 35 years of service

Mr Aghaulor advised those still in service to continue giving their best to the country, praying for their good health and safe retirement.

Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Godwin Aghaulor, has retired after 35 years of service to the police force.

Mr Aghaulor, who retired on Saturday at the Zonal Command Headquarters in Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area, decorated five newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police.

The officers decorated were ACP Ugochukwu Ezejiofor, ACP Celestine Umeh, ACP Jude Ohaja, ACP Eluha Clever, and ACP Emoefe Oshiobugie.

Born in Agbor, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, in 1965, Mr Aghaulor joined the force as an ASP Cadet in 1990.

He held several positions, including Commandant of Police College, Kaduna, DCP Administration Sokoto, and Zonal Commanding Officer for Zone 13 Ukpo, from November. 15, 2023, until his retirement.

In his brief remarks, Mr Aghaulor expressed gratitude to God and the police for the opportunity to serve and attain the rank of AIG.

He encouraged those still in service to continue giving their best to the country, praying for their good health and safe retirement.

Mr Aghaulor received goodwill messages from the Police Community Relations Committee, Police Officers’ Wives Association, Zone 13 personnel, and many others.
