The All Progressives Congress (North-West zone) will embark on a strategic tour of its seven states to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections by engaging stakeholders.

A statement on Thursday by Musa Mada, APC North-West spokesman, said the decision was reached at a meeting of the zonal leadership in Kaduna.

It said the meeting, chaired by the APC North-West zonal secretary, Isah Achida, in the absence of the national vice-chairman (North-West), Garba Datti (who was away on official assignment), deliberated on strategies to mobilise support and secure a higher number of votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

According to the statement, the proposed tour will provide an opportunity for the leadership to engage stakeholders across the zone on measures to strengthen the party.

‎It added that the meeting also reviewed strategies aimed at retaining all seven North-West states under the control of the APC.

‎The statement described the current political landscape as unprecedented, noting that it was the first time since the creation of states in Nigeria that a single political party governed all seven North-West states. ‎It also expressed appreciation to Governor Uba Sani for donating a utility vehicle to the party to support its operations.

‎The party further commended the governors of the North-West states for their continued support, describing their contributions as vital to the effective functioning of the party’s zonal headquarters.
