APC youth leader calls for inclusion of young Nigerians in governance

The youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state has called for digital empowerment of youths and their inclusion in governance to bridge the nation’s leadership gap.
The state youth leader of the party, Lekan Adeyemo, made the call on Sunday in Akure in a statement to celebrate International Youth Day.
“In today’s ICT-driven world, we must equip our young people with the necessary skills to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the development of our state and nation,” he said.
Mr Adeyemo commended President Bola Tinubu for recognising the potential of youths by appointing several young individuals into leadership positions, including ministers in his cabinet.
“This is a step in the right direction, and we urge Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to follow suit by appointing youths to his government.
“Our youth are ready and willing to take on leadership roles and contribute to the development of Ondo State.
“I enjoin Mr Aiyedatiwa to tap into this pool of talent and enthusiasm and work with us to build a brighter future for our state.
“As we approach the Nov. 16 governorship election, I assure the governor of the unwavering support and commitment of Ondo State youths,” he stated.
According to him, youths in the state are ready to work tirelessly to ensure Mr Aiyedatiwa’s victory and continue the progressive agenda of the great party.
He, therefore, asked the state government to harness the energy, creativity and innovation of youth to drive positive change in the state.
