Arsenal back at EPL table summit with 2-0 away win over Wolves

Arsenal are back at the top of the English Premier League table after the Gunners defeated Wolves 2-0 at the Molineux Stadium on Saturday night courtesy of Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard’s goals.
The victory would be a huge relief for Mikel Arteta’s men following last week’s title race upset at the hands of Aston Villa and midweek defeat by Bayern Munich to crash out of the UEFA Champions League.
With 74 points now, Arsenal will be at the summit of the league table unless Liverpool beat Fulham by more than 10 goals margin on Sunday or if Manchester City win their outstanding fixture against Brighton next Thursday.
The North London team is one point ahead of second-place Manchester City and three points ahead of third-placed Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.
Trossard put Arsenal ahead exactly in the 45th minute when the Belgian received a pass from Gabriel Jesus before cutting across the ball from 18 yards out and poking a shot into the top corner with the help of the post.
Wolves made the Gunners work for the second goal, but Odegaard finally doubled the advantage in the fifth minute of added time, with the Norwegian poking the ball in from the near post to finish off the game for Arsenal.
The hosts only real chance to score came in the 30th minute when Gomes got the better of Kiwior inside the 18-yard box and latched a shot from an acute angle but Raya rose high to push the ball away with his fingertips.
