The Canadian provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador are looking to hire kindergarten teachers, social, construction workers and so on from Nigeria and other nations in an immigration drive to address growing labour shortages.

Immigration and job experts will attend the event to answer questions about the career opportunities in Newfoundland and Labrador as well as speak about the standard of living in the regions.

While the provinces seek applications across all secrors, priority will be given to skilled professionals in social work, kindergarten to Grade 12 teaching (English and/or French), aviation, health care, early childhood education, construction and hospitality, retail, and food services.

Applicants that secure full-time positions in both provinces will be eligible for a work permit or permanent residency.

Applicants seeking to immigrate through Newfoundland and Labrador’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) must obtain a job offer from a local employer that is valid for a minimum of one year.
