COREN inducts 250 UNN engineering graduates

The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria on Tuesday inducted the maiden 250 graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
Okorie Uche, the registrar of COREN, performed the first induction and oath-taking of the graduates in Nsukka. Mr Uche congratulated the graduates for successfully completing the course that qualified them for induction.
The registrar urged the inductees to adhere strictly to the regulations of the profession.
He commended the parents of inductees for investing in the education of their children and wards, as well as the Engineering Faculty for the adequate knowledge given to the graduates.
Simon Ortuanya, UNN’s vice-chancellor, said the event was a landmark achievement in the history of the university and a testament to the unwavering commitment of the university towards academic excellence.
The VC said the day remained a special day for inductees as it marked a new phase in their lives.
Ikechukwu Ike-Eze, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, said that the event marked a defining moment in the history of the faculty.
Speaking further, the dean urged the inductees to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, competence, and ethical conduct in their practice.
