Davido speaks on Dangote’s longstanding relationship with his family

Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote’s longstanding relationship with his family.
The artiste made the revelation while speaking about his relationship with Dangote during a recent interview in Lagos.
According to him, Dangote has maintained a close relationship with his family for decades and continued to offer him financial advice from childhood.
“Aliko Dangote drove my mom home from the hospital when she gave birth to me,” he said.
He said Dangote had remained consistent in advising him to save and manage his money whenever they met.
“Anytime I see him, he still tells me, ‘David, save your money.’ He’s been saying that since I was a baby,” he said.
Davido said Dangote’s advice remained relevant as he navigated his career in the entertainment industry.
The “Fall” crooner also described billionaires as ordinary people despite their enormous wealth, saying their lifestyles were often different from public perception.
He also said that Dangote was a close associate of his father, businessman Adedeji Adeleke, noting that the relationship between the two families had lasted decades.
The singer said his relationship with the billionaire businessman dated back to his childhood and continued into his adulthood.
