EPL: Tottenham whip West Ham, displace Man United from fifth position

Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday best West Ham 3-1 in the English Premier League to displace Manchester United from the fifth position on the EPL log.
Spurs dominated the game, holding 54 per cent of the ball and shooting on target four times. West Ham in contrast had only one shot on target throughout the game.
Kurt Zouma, who is a subject of prosecution for animal cruelty, scored an own goal barely nine minutes into the game, giving Spurs an early lead.
Heung-min Son doubled Spurs’ lead in the 24th minute, while West Ham struggled for a come back.
Before the first half break, however, Benrahma netted a super volley for West Ham, rekindling the visitors hope of a possible come back.
While the Hammers doubled up effort for an equaliser, Son scored another goal for Spurs in the 88th, bringing scores to 3-1.
Spurs now sit on the fifth position on the EPL table after garnering 51 points in 29 games.
This development reduces chance of United possible qualification for Champions League this season.
