Federal authorities have arrested and charged multimillionaire twin brothers Tal and Oren Alexander, who are prominent real estate agents and their brother Alon over allegations of trafficking multiple women for sex for more than a decade.

According to the New York Times, the three brothers were arrested at homes in and near Miami Beach on Wednesday, with Alon and Oren indicted by state authorities on sexual battery charges and are expected to be transferred into federal custody after their initial appearance in state court.

Starting from 2010, the twins and their brother, who started their careers at real estate company Douglas Elliman, are alleged to have trafficked, baited, drugged and sexually assaulted multiple women, according to a spokesman for the FBI’s New York field office.

While Alon and Oren are still waiting to have their time in court, Tal had a brief appearance before a federal judge in Florida on Wednesday afternoon. He is expected to make another appearance on Friday.

Meanwhile, local authorities in Florida are working with federal officials in New York on the next line of action regarding the brothers, including possible extradition to the state.

All three brothers face 15 years to life in prison if convicted of the federal charges.

The prosecutors are alleging the Alexander brothers worked together and with other men “to repeatedly and violently drug, sexually assault, and rape dozens of victims” in New York, Miami and elsewhere and cited the brothers use their influence as real estate brokers to lure the women with promises of luxurious experience.

They “arranged for these sexual assaults well in advance, using the promise of luxury experiences, travel, and accommodations to lure and entice women to locations where they were then forcibly raped or sexually assaulted, sometimes by multiple men,” including themselves, the indictment alleges.
