The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has set September 21 to 23 to conduct the 2026 directorate-level promotion examination (local leg) for eligible officers in the federal civil service.

Ibraheem Zakariyya, head of press and public relations, FCSC, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.

According to circular ref. no. FC.6243/GOV/2026/VOL.II/27, dated September 17 and signed by the chairman of the commission, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, the examination will commence at 7:00 a.m. each day.

The circular stated that the examination would cover all levels of directorate cadre, adding that candidates were required to report to the designated computer-based test (CBT) centres indicated on their examination identity cards (IDs).

The commission urged all accredited candidates to note the examination dates, time, and designated venues, and make adequate arrangements to participate as scheduled.

It also enjoined permanent secretaries, accounting officers and chief executive officers of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to bring the contents of the circular to the attention of all concerned for compliance.
