Gov. Abdulrazaq releases N5.2 million for medical bills of 13 injured students

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara, on Wednesday, directed the immediate release of over N5.2 million for the medical treatment of 13 injured students of Kwara at the Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto (UDUS).
In a statement by his Special Assistant on Students Affairs, Wasiu Onidugbe, the governor released N5.250 million to cover the cost of tests, scans, and other procedures and treatments itemised by the hospital.
Mr Abdulrazaq also sent a get-well message to the students, praying that God grant them a speedy recovery.
The students were involved in an auto crash along the Yauri-Sokoto Expressway in Kebbi state while returning to Sokoto.
While eight of the students had varying degrees of bone fractures requiring surgeries, five of them are to undergo other levels of medical treatment at the UDUS Teaching Hospital in Sokoto.
