Gov Ododo pledges support to security agencies to tackle Kogi criminals

Governor Ahmed Ododo has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in the fight against criminality across the state.
Mr Ododo made the pledge on Thursday when the police commissioner in Kogi, Naziru Kankarofi, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Lokoja. He assured him of continuous collaboration between the state government and the police command to sustain peace, law, and order.
“We will continue to strengthen the collaboration between the state government and the police command to ensure peace, security, and community development,” Mr Ododo said.
Earlier, Mr Kankarofi said that his visit was to appreciate the governor for his sustained support to the police and other security agencies in the state.
He briefed the governor on recent security initiatives, crime prevention strategies, and forthcoming community policing programmes of the command.
The police commissioner also reiterated the importance of intelligence sharing, inter-agency collaboration, and joint operations in combating violent crimes in the state.
