Governor Yusuf praises military’s onslaught against bandits

Governor Abba Yusuf has commended the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for their swift response to the recent banditry attacks in parts of the state.
This was noted in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, on Wednesday.
Mr. Yusuf gave the commendation while the general officer commanding, 1 Division, Kaduna, Abubakar Wase, paid him a courtesy call at the Government House, Kano.
The governor expressed appreciation to the military for their dedication and thanked President Bola Tinubu for appointing competent service chiefs who were committed to national security.
The governor announced the donation of 10 Hilux trucks and 60 motorcycles to the Joint Task Force operating in the affected areas.
Mr Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in combating banditry, kidnapping, and cattle rustling.
Mr Wase said that he visited Kano to assess the security situation in Shanono and Tsanyawa LGAs.
He stated that his childhood memories were of the Kano Government House, where his late father, Muhammad Abdullahi-Wase, served as the military administrator of the state.
