Iraq exported about 106.11 million barrels of crude oil in March, the country’s oil ministry said.

About 104.68 million barrels were exported from oil fields in central and southern Iraq via the port of Basra, 967,492 barrels from the Qayyara oilfield in the Northern Province of Nineveh, the ministry said in a statement.

A total of 464,453 barrels were sent to neighbouring Jordan, said the ministry.

In February, Iraq exported about 99.59 million barrels of crude oil, the ministry said in an earlier statement issued in March.

Iraq’s economy heavily relies on crude oil exports, which account for more than 90 per cent of the country’s revenues.
