Katsina: Police commissioner urges 589 promoted officers to remain professional

The commissioner of police in Katsina, Bello Shehu, has decorated 589 newly promoted officers with their new ranks.

The commissioner of police in Katsina, Bello Shehu, has decorated 589 newly promoted officers with their new ranks.

Mr Shehu, who decorated the officers on Monday in Katsina, recognised their dedication and service to the nation and urged them to sustain their high sense of professionalism.

Three officers were decorated with their new ranks of assistant commissioner of police, while the remaining officers were promoted from sergeant to inspector and from corporal to sergeant.

Mr Shehu commended IGP Kayode Egbetokun and the Police Service Commission for finding the officers worthy of the promotion.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, ACP Abdullahi Muhammad-Dattijo of the Department of Finance and Administration thanked the IGP and PSC.

He also thanked Mr Shehu for his steadfast guidance and support, which led to their promotion.
