Madrid beat Barca to most popular club on social media as Man United win outside Spain: Report

UK-based Crunchbase company profile and funding website, Safe Betting Sites, has ranked Spanish giants Real Madrid as the most popular club on social media after studying major clubs in the top five leagues globally.
Real Madrid ranked number one in the world with 339.5 million followers across the major social media platforms, namely Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Weibo, while arch-rivals, Barcelona, are second as of April 11, 2023.
The Catalans garnered 323.7 million followers across all the major social media platforms, while Premier League giant ranked third and the biggest club in terms of social media popularity outside Spain, with 214 million followers across the major social media platforms.
French champions, Paris Saint-Germain, and Italian Serie A club, Juventus, came fourth and fifth in the social media rankings with 142.2 million and 140.3 million followers on all their social media accounts, respectively.
According to the survey, PSG is the most popular club on TikTok with 39.9 million followers, while Manchester United is the most popular club on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website with a massive 11.1 million followers.
Barcelona emerged as the most popular club on American global online video-sharing and social media platform, YouTube, with 14.9 million subscribers.
