Nigerian Exchange Group Plc has confirmed the appointment of Jumoke Olaniyan as its group chief strategy officer.

NGX said on Monday the move would strengthen executive leadership as it advances its next phase of strategic growth and digital transformation.

It added that the appointment would support product innovation and broader market development across its integrated operations.

In her new role, Olaniyan will lead enterprise-wide strategy formulation and execution across NGX Group.

Ms Olaniyan’s mandate is to drive initiatives aligned with its ambition to deepen market liquidity and expand innovative product offerings.

“She will also help broaden investor participation and enhance long-term stakeholder value,” the statement said.

According to the NGX, her position is central to strengthening cross-functional alignment and organisational effectiveness as it evolves its integrated market infrastructure model.

It noted that the development underscores NGX Group’s focus on disciplined strategy execution, strong governance and sustainable value creation.

NGX added that the appointment reflects deliberate efforts to broaden executive representation and strengthen leadership capacity.

It stressed that the move would ensure women continue to play influential roles in shaping Nigeria’s capital markets and contributing to national economic development.

Before joining NGX Group, Olaniyan held senior leadership positions at FMDQ Group Plc and FDHL Group.

She played key roles in business development, market expansion and product innovation across fixed income, currencies and derivatives markets.

With over two decades of experience in financial markets, consulting and banking, she brings expertise in market structure, stakeholder engagement and enterprise transformation.

Ms Olaniyan holds a degree in Accounting and an MBA from INSEAD Business School, and is recognised for driving growth and strengthening market participation.
